Cracked phone screen: repair or replace the phone?

Dropped your phone and now the screen's cracked, or the touch has stopped working in places? It's frustrating, but a screen replacement is one of the most straightforward and worthwhile repairs there is — and almost always cheaper than a new phone.

Repair is usually the smart choice

Modern phones are expensive to replace, and a screen repair typically costs a fraction of that. If the rest of the phone works fine, fixing the screen gets you back to normal for far less than upgrading — and you keep all your apps, photos and settings exactly as they were.

The touch has stopped working — is that the screen too?

Usually yes. If the display still shows an image but touch is dead or erratic, that's the digitiser (the touch layer) — fixed by the same screen replacement. Lines, black patches or a screen that stays dark are also screen faults I can sort.

What about the parts?

I use quality screens chosen to match the original, including OLED panels where your phone came with one, so colours and brightness are right. I'll always tell you exactly what's being fitted, and it's covered by a 90-day warranty.

How much and how long?

It depends on the make and model — there's a price list for common iPhone, Samsung and Pixel models on the phone screen & battery replacement page, and most repairs are done the same day. If your battery's also getting tired, it's a good time to sort both — see the signs your battery needs replacing.

Book a repair or message me with your phone model and I'll give you a fixed price.
